Hi, I'm Sven, Network Specialist and Solution Engineer at Icomera AB. My work focuses on designing, deploying and supporting advanced connectivity solutions for different rail operators and train fleets across Europe.
I enjoy working on complex network environments, from network design and architecture to routing and switching, wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity, as well as satellite communications. I also work with network security, Linux, virtualization and automation to build reliable, scalable and resilient solutions for demanding railway environments.
A big part of my work is being involved in customer projects from the technical concept through implementation and deployment. Working closely with different customers, technical teams and project stakeholders allows me to turn individual requirements into practical and reliable connectivity solutions.
What I particularly enjoy about my work is seeing how technology can directly improve the passenger experience. Reliable and fast connectivity can make a train journey more productive, enjoyable and connected, while helping make rail travel an attractive and sustainable alternative to other forms of transportation.
